Łukasiewicz – Institute of Electrical Engineering is one of the oldest and the largest scientific and research institute in the field of electrotechnical industry in Poland. The Institute was founded in 1946.

The Institute activities are recognized as world leaders in the areas of: Energy Processing and Storage, Electromobility and Intelligent Transport, Energy Systems, Hydrogen Technologies and Electrotechnical Materials. For over 75 years, Łukasiewicz – IEL has been supporting companies in the development of new technical solutions and the improvement of existing products. The Institute combines the work and experience of the best scientists and experts in the field of energy systems, hydrogen technologies and materials engineering. The research center is equipped with an advanced infrastructure, performs unique in Polish and Europe scientific activities, and certifies products in the field of electrical engineering.

The Institute’s employees carries out advanced work on hydrogen storage materials, innovative pressure hydrogen vessels (gaseous and liquid hydrogen) and electrolysers technologies.
