We offer two types of memberships
Full Members:
Organisations eligible to join Hydrogen Europe Research as Full Member must be actively involved in the hydrogen and fuel cells sector and have their seat and main administration in a Member State of the European Union (EU)/ in a State party to the European Economic Area Agreement (EEA)/ in an Associated Country to the European research and innovation framework programme/ in Switzerland or in the United Kindgdom.
To join as a full member, you have to be:
- A non-profit organisation which is not, directly or indirectly, managed, owned and/or controlled by any industry stakeholders or within which no industry stakeholders may benefit from or exercise a blocking voting majority or a veto right or any minority protection mechanism; or
- A public research organisation funded by a national or local government at a rate of at least thirty-three percent (33%) of its expenses for the purpose of science, education or research for the public benefit; or
- A university or an academic institution funded at a rate of at least thirty-three (33%) of its expenses for the purpose of science, education or research for the public benefit; or
- A federation, an umbrella organisation or any similar organisation, not, directly or indirectly, managed, owned and/or controlled by any industry stakeholders or within which no industry stakeholders may benefit from or exercise a blocking voting majority or a veto right or any minority protection mechanism, and having all of its own members conducting research on fuel cells and hydrogen.
The annual membership fee for full members is €3,500 per year.
Associate members:
A status of Associate Member exists only for entities complying with the criteria listed above to become full members and sharing the objective and scope of Hydrogen Europe Research, but located outside the geographic range defined for full members.
The annual membership fee for associate members is €1,000 per year.
