Stuttgart Symposium on Electrochemical Energy Technology

25·09·25 26·09·25

The decarbonisation of society will require new solutions for the convergence of power generation, hydrogen production and storage.

The Stuttgart Symposium on Electrochemical Energy Technology (SSEET) focuses on cutting-edge topics in the field of electrochemical energy technology – fuel cells – water electrolysis – rechargeable batteries. These technologies are considered key to the success of the energy systems transformation.

The specific topics are addressed from the perspective of industry and academia, thus providing a comprehensive view and strengthening the interaction between academia and industry.

Focus in 2025 – Cell Innovations Leading to System Improvements

This year, the event will focus on “Cell Innovations Leading to System Improvements” at the SEETS, addressing how advancements in cell materials, design, and architecture can enhance the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of entire energy systems.

Discussions will cover innovations in fuel cells, electrolyzers, and batteries, particularly in terms of:

  • Material developments (e.g., advanced catalysts, alternative materials reducing critical raw material dependency)
  • Cell design and architecture (e.g., electrode structures, membrane optimization, manufacturing advancements)
  • System-level integration (e.g., cost reduction, scalability, lifetime improvements)
  • Sustainability challenges (e.g., critical material availability, recycling strategies, lifecycle assessments)

Do not miss the chance to participate in the  DLR Stuttgart on 25 – 26 September 2025!
